I’m Ali, the “barista” behind the coffee mug.

What started out as an idea in 2019 for how I could better help my students and their families continued to “brew” as I worked both as a special educator and behavior analyst. Throw in a global pandemic and becoming a mom to 2 kiddos, my idea needed to be heated (and re-heated) like many of our cups of coffee (or at least, that’s how I found myself sipping mine!)

Fast forward 5 years, the idea I tucked away in my mind began spilling over and quickly evolving as I watched this gap for many of my families between school and home services rapidly grow.

As a certified PreK-12 Special Education Teacher and a Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I knew it was time to find a way to bridge the gap before me. Hence, my once "brewing" idea felt ready to be poured.

With 13 years as a Special Educator and 7 of those years as a Behavior Analyst, my experiences have afforded me the ability to work both in public schools and outplacement across a wide range of student populations from ages 3-22.
I’ve case managed and developed IEPs, taught academic content, developed ABA specific programming, consulted, and provided training at both the classroom and district levels.

What an honor it is serving the Special Education community in these ways!

My ability to serve this community continues beyond the school doors as I begin the journey outside, by finding a way to bridge the gap one “drop” at a time.
