Transitions for Neurodivergent Learners (Quarter 2)
Hi there! How are you? It’s so nice to see you here!
New Quarter - New Content
The second quarter of the year has us here in my corner of the world welcoming Spring & warmer weather, changes in the school year as schools get ready for spring and summer vacations and more.
So what a better topic to go over Quarter 2 (April - June 2025) than transitions.
Each month we’ll be going into all types of transitions that pop up like predictable transitions, unexpected transitions, and transitions on-the-go.
You can’t predict EVERYTHING - but at least you can have some tools in your toolbox to help.
All blog posts will be shared at 8 PM on the 1st Monday of the month.
We previously covered transitions in a November 2024 blog highlighting transitions before, during and after.
If you’re curious take a peek!
Quarter 2 Content Topic Summaries
APRIL
Here we’ll review what predictable transitions are, discuss if planning ahead really does work (or not.). Our discussion will guide us through the 3 steps to plan for predictable transitions and what do you do if your plan fails (because sometimes that happens.)
MAY
This month we’ll talk about what to do when the unexpected pops up (because it always does) and how to create a transition toolbox. We’ll share what happens with big and small transitions as well as 3 steps for supporting your learner in the moment.
JUNE
Rounding out this quarter, we’ll dive into all the ways transitions happen no matter where we are - away from home, on vacation and those beyond our control when we’re out and about. If you’re looking for what to do and how to support your learners, stay tuned to June!
